I will miss her

This is Esther. Though we share no blood, she is family. I have known her all my life. She died yesterday. Her death was expected, yet it is still difficult to accept.

You see, having no family of her own, Esther lived with my parents. Our family cared for her, and our lives are better for knowing her. She was the kindest, most generous woman I have ever had the honor of knowing. She reminded me so very much of my other grandma. I think that's part of the reason why her death is so hard for me. Losing her is like losing my grandma all over again.

Holidays and birthday celebrations won't be the same without Esther. Even so, I know that at some point, our lives will go on. We will miss her, but someday, it will get easier. Right now, it just hurts.

I loved her very much.

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss, she looks so cute and happy in the picture. I bet she is in Heaven shining down on you and smiling at you this very minute. Losing great people like her is a very hard thing for those who remain, but cherish her in your heart forever. And everytime you see the Sun shining in, you will know it is that bright smile of hers smiling down at you. I am sending my sympathy and tons of huggs your way.
Love,

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. It's hard to lose the people we love - even when it's expected. I'm sure she doesn't want you to be sad for her, but to rejoice in the fantastic life she had, and celebrate everything she added to yours.

I have no doubt what Beth said is right - she is most certainly an angel, shining down and smiling at you. You may not feel them, but her arms are there to comfort you. Everyone needs guardian angels - and you now have a very special one. You're so lucky.

I'll say a prayer you find a little peace and comfort while you struggle through this difficult situation. Just think about how she would want to be remembered - and I think you did a wonderful job celebrating her in your post. It was beautiful.

Big hugs,
Katherine
