REVIEW: The Spotted Box

I recently had the opportunity to review a fun surprise box of goodies from The Spotted Box.



About the Box...
What is it?
The Spotted Box is a box of family-oriented, eco-friendly samples from independent crafters, all packaged together and sent directly to you! Designed with the young family in mind, these handmade samples are focused on children and their mothers.

What does it have in it?
The Spotted Box can include samples like: Bath and body, doublers, candles, bookmarks, candy, stationery, bibs, wool food, toys, paper arts, wipes, wool wash, tarts, mama pads, dish clothes, teas, food, dog treats, gift certificates, magnets, pens, hair products, jewelry and more! Each month it changes depending on the participants.

How do I get one?
The Spotted Box go on sale the 15th of every month at the The Spotted Box cart.

When I received my box, I was honestly suprpised by all of the coupons and samples packed in that sweet box! As you can see this box is absolutely filled with samples, gift certificates and coupons! We enjoy all of the items in the box, but we each have a favorite. Our cat Tony absolutely adores the catnip toy from Colorado Catnip Toys! He knew there was something in that box for him the minute I opened it. We giggled qite a bit at his antics in trying to find his goodie! My favorite is the Stuffy Nose Steam Mix from Flutterby Designs Gone Wild. I'll tell you, this couldn't have arrived at a better time! I was dealing with a cold, and the stuffy nose was making me miserable. A handful of the Stuffy Nose Steam Mix in a potful of boiling water had me breathing freely immediately! Ian was thrilled with the Bath Crayon Sample from Cedar Hills Honey Company, anf Jake enjyed the smell of the Birthday Cake Soy Candle sample from The Melting Pot Candle Co.. Our pup Harley devoured his Beef Stock Sunday Dinner Bone from Ben and Duchess.



I must admit, I wasn't too sure that a box of samples could be worth $22 (that price includes shipping), but once I received The Spotted Box, I am hooked! The contents in the box can be shared by the entire family, and in this case, pets too.

Want to know how to get your stuff in the box?
Its easy, simply email Tory at tory@thespottedbox.com and she’ll get you started. You need to contribute a minimum of 20 samples and can give as much as 60 or more. Including your samples is free and you get a spot on the cart listing your samples. For the listing she needs a banner ad or photo that is 125 by 125 pixels. Your listing includes your ad and any text you want to include.

What do you get out of it?
Exposure! You get samples sent to potential customers eager to try your product, the ad on the cart and exposure to motivated buyers on Hyena Cart, Etsy and beyond. Your listing on the Hyena Cart stays on the site for 4 months, giving you a fun and unique advertisement, and if you send in 60 samples you get a box of your own!
