blogging from the woods

Well, we are smack-dab in the middle of our last week of summer vacation. We are spending time with friends at their condo in Seven Springs.

So far we've been swimming, riding the Alpine Slide (where hubby suffered a nasty skin burn when he partially fell out of the slide on an s-turn), baking a cake from scratch, and fishing.

Actually, that's what we're doing now- fishing at an amazing pond in the middle of nowhere. While most everyone else is fishing, Ian, Jake, and Jules are building a shelter out of branches and leaves.

We've built a small fire ring, hoping someone will catch something big enough for us to cook (although we did bring hotdogs as a backup).

We'll be home on Friday.
