It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...

*This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for entering!*

As you may or may not be aware, I recently had to have a cast put on my right arm. I am hoping that maybe, just maybe, the cast will work some magic on this messed up excuse for an arm and help me to avoid the dreaded S-word...surgery. Even so, as much as I should be grateful that the cast may actually do some good, I am miserable. I do not like being confined. I'm right-handed, for pete's sake!

I have had to learn to type one-handed, shower one-handed, dress myself one-handed, put on makeup one-handed...and well, you get the point.

My doctor, attempting to be cute, insisted that my cast be a Christmas color. I drew the line at red and green stripes. Once all was said and done, I left with a green cast.

My kids were excited. They think the cast is cool. Um, whatever, They have been begging me to sign it. My husband (again, another male trying to be cute) said the cast must be signed with a red sharpie. It just so happens that we don't own a red sharpie, so he is going to get one on his way home from work.

I figured, hey, why not have fun with this? So, I am throwing myself a virtual cast-signing party here on the blog. Will you join me?

To take part in this here party, all you need to do is sign my handy-dandy Mr. Linky below. Then, leave me a comment telling me something about yourself so I can get to know who has signed my cast. (Non-bloggers: You can still sign my cast by leaving me a comment.)

To bribe you into playing along, I am offering a prize.

On Monday, December 22, I will randomly choose one cast signer- bloggers and non-bloggers all eligible-(is signer even a word?) to win a beautiful personalized Itty-Bitty Hearts Necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs. (See photo above. Isn't is gorgeous?) Oh, you read that right. Lisa is a fantabulous jewelry designer. To own one of her beautiful necklaces is in my top-ten wishes before I turn 40 (and we aren't even discussing how ridiculously close to that date I am!).

So, will you join me? Pretty please?

If so, please sign Mr. Linky. Be sure to leave me your name and the name of your blog, so I can come visit you and leave you some blog love. Again, non-bloggers, just leave a comment. :)

Oh! By the way, I am offering more chances to win this beautiful Itty Bitty Hearts necklace. After you sign Mr. Linky, read below for details on how to earn extra entries!

SCORE EXTRA ENTRIES:
1. Leave me a comment in this post telling me something about yourself.

2. Visit Lisa Leonard Designs, and then come back here and tell me which is your favorite necklace.

3. Blog about this party with a link back to my site (be sure to post your link here so I know where to find it.)

Oops...forgot to say something about myself! I'm a regular girl in a regular 1950's suburban ranch who's trying to convince it that it's really a charming cottage in a secret garden. We'll see if I succeed!

I never learned how to do a cartwheel. I don’t feel like less of a person as a result.

So sorry about your arm. What a bummer, ESPECIALLY at holiday time.

I LOVE Lisa Leonard stuff! What a great prize. Thanks for the chance to enter.

Okay, it was SO hard to pick a favorite necklace! I finally narrowed it down to the teeny tiny initials and the find joy. I couldn't choose between them. Love her work!

I love the "Tiny Squares" necklace, but would be absolutely thrilled with anything from the shop!

I can't imagine having to deal with an arm in a cast, especially with children, and around such a busy time of year! I hope everything gets better from here. I am a SAHM to 4 great kiddos, and married to a pastor of a rural church in southern Oklahoma. I stay busy with various school/church activities with my family. I have recently started blogging, and I love it, although it is a work in progress! Thanks

I'm so sorry about your arm.
This is a cute idea. I'm Dee, and I live, garden and write from Oklahoma. I live in a log house on 7.5 acres, and I have 83 roses, untold number of daylilies and other stuff mixed in. Oh, and I'm married with four children, one of which is grown.

I love the Bloom necklace best, of course, but they are all extraordinary. Thanks for the fun.~~Dee

I like the mini open circle necklace, but all of them are really cute!

This is a great idea! Sorry to hear about your arm, though. :-( Something about me - I'm in my late 20's and I'm a dog-mom but not a kid-mom yet. I'm hoping to "settle down" with my boyfriend in the very near future. All four of us (my boyfriend, two dogs and me) moved from Seattle to the Washington D.C. Metro area four months ago and are trying to decide if this is actually where we want to "settle down" or if another move is in our future. Looking forward to getting to know you as well!

My favorite is the "True Love Hearts". I would LOVE to have one of those for my wedding day!

Megan said...

Oh no! So sorry you had to get a cast! I had one, but when I was about 6 or 7. I had it on my left arm and I'm left handed. My first grade teacher loved me! lol

I'm going to "follow" you now. =)

So sorry you're in a cast!!
Something about myself?... Well, oddly enough, I am also suffering a right arm injury - or wrist to be more exact! I'm sporting one of those splint thingy's - nothing as cool as a cast! We don't really know what happened to my arm - spontanious combustion of an artery or some such strangeness.
