What harmful chemicals do regular cleaners have that IQ replaces? Isn't using bleach, etc the simplest way to clean and the least harmful?

I have always wondered why some companies use chemicals that are known to cause cancer? How could you put something in your product that could kill someone someday? I wouldn't be ble to live with myself. That is why I love green cleaning and the kids can help. I love it.

I've noticed with some "green" products that they just don't work as well as the icky ones. I hate using all those chemicals but I don't have the time or energy to clean twice as hard or twice as long. How do you get around that?

Why are there still conventional cleaners available to the public when they are toxic to our health, the environment, and the health of future generations? Also, why would a consumer choose something so toxic over something cheaper and safer like vinegar?

iQ Cleaners said...

Thank you all for your interest in iQ Cleaners! I have tried to answer all of your questions below, if you have any others, please feel free to post on our Facebook page at facebook.com/iqcleaner and we would be happy to answer them.

@jcwega27: iQ does not use any harmful chemicals in any of our products. All of our ingredients are listed clearly on our bottles and use only non-toxic ingredients like coconut derived surfactants and sugar based acids that are completely safe for both the environment and your family. There are absolutely no carcinogens in any of our products.

@LeahB: Some conventional cleaners use ingredients like ammonia that can cause severe respiratory diseases in both adults and children. You should always be aware of the ingredients in your household cleaners and opt in for a non-toxic option like iQ that are much safer for your family's health.

@one frugal lady: Yes, green cleaning can be confusing. Speaking for iQ cleaners; we consider ourselves green for two main reasons: 1. We use only non toxic and biodegradable ingredients that are safe for your family and for the environment. 2. Because we use concentrates and a re-fillable bottle, we eliminate thousands of transport trucks off the road, and reduce plastic waste by 80%.

@Trista Z & @Monica: Yes, iQ cleaners are completely safe to use around your children and your pets.

@spotterjagiwar: With iQ, you don’t have that problem. iQ is third party tested to perform as well as, or even better than conventional cleaners without all those harmful effects. No additional elbow grease required, performance guaranteed.

@Vance Creve: iQ uses only FDA Food grade additive ingredients as their dyes and fragrances. They are safe and non-irritating for those sensitive to fragrances.

@Brianna: It really depends on the product but many cleaners like bleach - include carcinogens or toxic chemicals that are extremely harmful to your health and the environment. iQ uses only non toxic ingredients to do the same great cleaning – safe for your family and the planet.
