Iceblues- Camera Necklace {Review} #LLRGiftGuide2015

I love presents! {Who doesn't?} There's just something about the packaging that makes what's inside even more exciting for me. See that picture up there? That is the package the contained the most darling necklace from the Etsy shop Iceblues. I have to admit, I kept that brown ribbon and the sweet little box.

The necklace inside was a real treat- even better than the pretty packaging! Nestled in soft batting was the most beautiful leather camera necklace. It reminded me so much of a vintage camera- {You know, the ones we used to have that actually had film inside that had to be developed?} The necklace is perfect for me.

I am a {very} novice photographer. By novice I mean I take pictures of my family {constantly}, our pets, and on vacations. I am never without my camera {Who knows when that moment will arise that I simply must record?}. I'm also one who loves unique items. The camera necklace represents my love of photography in such a beautiful, unique way.

For the photographer, or anyone who loves taking photos, this whimsical camera charm necklace is
the perfect accessory. Featuring a rhinestone lens, the necklace is also adorned with an ornate brass leaf and an adorable Czech flower. Suspended from an antique brass chain, this necklace is both stylish and trendy.

If you love photography or have a friend or relative who does, then this necklace is the perfect gift!

Charm Factory~ Review and Giveaway

I love jewelry. In fact, I do think I have a serious addiction to rings, necklaces, bracelets... There's nothing wrong with that. What girl doesn't enjoy a little bling every now and then? SO, you can imagine how giddy I was when Charm Factory asked me to review one of their beaded bracelets. Um, YES!!

After looking at all the bracelet designs Charm Factory offers, I settled on the April Clear Glass Beaded Bracelet. No, my birthday is not in April. I just really liked the clear glass. It is versatile enough that it will look great no matter what I am wearing.
When my bracelet arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by its weight. This is a great quality bracelet. The beaded bracelet is made from silver plated brass and lead-free pewter. The beads are glass. One end of the bracelet screws off so I can add or change the beads if I want to. These bracelets can be ordered in a variety of sizes. It arrives in a jewelry gift box which would make this bracelet a great gift.

I have been wearing my bracelet for the past two weeks. I have even showered with it on, and I can say the quality is great. I haven't noticed any problems at all. The bracelet looks as great today as it did on the day it arrived.

I recommend a Charm Factory bracelet for anyone who loves jewelry. They are currently on sale too. You can't beat the $10.99 price! Buy one today. :)

West Coast Jewelry Review and Giveaway

I have a jewelry addiction. I love most anything silver, and if there is bling, well then, even better. When my husband proposed to me 18 years ago, he did so with a sweet marquise-cut diamond solitaire. I loved that ring. Sadly, after removing it (and my wedding band) for surgery 9 years ago, my rings were misplaced and were never found.
Since then, my husband replaced my wedding band, but informed me a diamond wasn’t in the budget for a long while. (I am thinking maybe he plans to give me one on our 20th anniversary.)
Even though I know my finger won’t sparkle with a diamond for quite some time, I can’t help but shop for other alternatives.
My new favorite jewelry shop is West Coast Jewelry. I was approached by them to see if I would be interested in receiving a product to review, and in turn, offer a giveaway to my readers. Additionally, I am excited to tell you that West Coast Jewelry is offering my readers a unique coupon code for 10% off on for my readers’ first purchase with WCJ. I didn’t hesitate to agree!
I was so lucky to be sent this stunning CZ Wedding Ring Set:
My goodness! I was completely blown away by how the stones look like actual diamonds! Seriously. The first time I wore the rings to my sister’s house, she shrieked, “He bought it already!!” I just smiled as she inspected the rings, soaking in her comments. She just kept saying over and over again, “They are so beautiful!” After a few moments, I admitted that the rings were CZ and that I received them for a review- NOT from my husband.
Having worn the rings for a little over a week now, I have to say, I continue to fool everyone. The stones are so shiny. One person asked me just yesterday, “Did you just have your rings cleaned?” I will not hesitate to buy from West Coast Jewelry again. The quality of their products is oustanding!
My husband appreciates the rings for the mere fact that he thinks that he should be excused from having to buy my diamond now that I am wearing these exquisite rings. :)
Here is the information regarding these beautiful rings from the West Coast Jewelry Website:
Nickel-free Sterling silver 2 piece wedding ring set featuring a lovely round cubic zirconia center in a prong setting. Also includes a rhodium plate finish, which gives it its lustrous white gold appearance. All of our cubic zirconia items are made with Grade A quality stones with a high-shine finish. All of our CZ pieces are always set and never glued on. Depending on the styles, West Coast Jewelry uses both machine-cut and hand-cut CZ stones. West Coast Jewelry guarantees that our Sterling silver merchandise is 925 Sterling or above.
West Coast Jewelry is generously giving one living life one day at time reader a $15 gift card to use toward any jewelry purchase. Additionally, all readers have the opportunity to receive 10% off their first purchase from West Coast Jewelry by using this unique code: QHMDV2TJ (offer valid until the end of September).

Etsy Find: MarieCarter

It's no secret that I love jewelry. I especially adore unique, handmade jewelry. I spend a lot of time oohing and ahhing over the gorgeous pieces I find at Etsy. One of my favorite Etsy shops for jewelry is MarieCarter.

One can find many simple, yet stunning pieces of jewelry at MarieCarter.

About the artisan:
I learned how to fabricate jewelry in classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology as well as Brookfield Craft Center and the 92nd Street Y.

I focused on developing skills that allowed me to communicate my thoughts through each piece - I aim to tell a short story in metal and stone.

My most recent passion is to work with silver and gold to create items that balance both positive and negative space. Texturing, including stamping and hammering, are commonly used techniques to bring out both the modern and ancient themes that dance in my mind.

One of my favorites pieces by MarieCarter is the Interlocked Rings:
Argentium (tarnish resistant) sterling silver was formed into two rings that are connected so they each move about freely but don't separate.

These rings are the delicate version of the original Interlocked Rings featured in my shop. Each band is approximately 2mm wide.

I have fairly small hands, and I often have great difficulty finding rings that aren't too wide and bulky for my fingers. MarieCarter's Interlocked Rings are perfect! So simple and delicate. The hammered texture of the rings also make them quite unique.

Another piece I love by MarieCarter is the Drop Bangle:
A cluster of lustrous keishi pearls accent a simple hammered argentium (tarnish resistant) sterling silver bangle to create a modern and streamlined look.

The sweet pearl accents on this bangle make it a stand-out for me.

My absolute favorite design is MarieCarter's Simple Pendant:
Sterling silver is handformed into a simple organic circle that drops from a delicate sterling silver cable link chain that is accented with little faceted iolite beads.

The pendant is just under 1" in length and dangles from an 18" chain.

MarieCarter sent me the Simple Pendant to review, and from the minute I saw it, I loved it! It is quite simple in design, and when worn, I receive a lot of compliments! Most of the people who inquire about the pendant mention how unique the design is. I couldn't agree more.

I was afraid that it would be too delicate to wear as an everyday necklace, but it's actually perfect for everyday or as a special occasion piece. The craftsmanship of the pendant is amazing, and the chain included with the pendant is quite sturdy.

If you are wanting to add to your jewelry collection or are in need of the perfect gift for someone special, I highly recommend you shop at MarieCarter. You will not be disappointed!

A Pretty Rock Jewelry Review & Giveaway

It's no secret that I love jewelry. :) It's so much fun to find new places to feed my addiction. I was thrilled to stumble upon A Pretty Rock a while back. There are some absolutely STUNNING pieces in that shop!

If you are like me, and you really love adorning yourself with all sorts of unique, pretty baubles, then you simply MUST check out A Pretty Rock. You will find pieces to fit any budget.

I contacted the artist behind the gorgeous designs, Yazmin, and asked her if she'd be interested in hosting a giveaway for my readers. She agreed and sent me a pair of the sweetest earrings to review.

The Love Comes Full Circle earrings are made from sterling silver. There are detailed filigree hearts which are part of a circle hoop. The filigree hearts have been oxidized to bring out their delicate details. The earrings hang approximately 1 1/2” (3.81 cm) from the top of the earwire. I love wearing these earrings, and receive numerous compliments when I do. They are truly more beautiful in person than they appear in the photo.

I have already told my husband that I would love to be "surprised" with Yazmin's Turquoise and Crystal Spike Earrings (pictured above). These beauties caught my eye immediately. Rustic yet flashy enough for any special occasion, these earrings are made with aurora borealis coated czech crystals and oh so beautiful turquoise rondelles. Separating both rondelles are 3 individual twisted wire jumprings. The bali spike below the turquoise rondelle adds the finishing touch.
The earrings hang 1 5/8” (4.13 cm) from the top of the earwire. All metal is sterling silver.
Simply stunning, don't you think?

Other examples of what you will find at A Pretty Rock:

A Cord on Blue Review & Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for entering!*

Do you have a problem keeping your Bluetooth ear piece attached to your ear? Have you ever lost it because it fell off, and you didn't notice it until it was too late? (That happened to me twice.) Does your ear bud ever disappear in the bottomless pit of your handbag? If so, have I got a solution for you!

A Cord on Blue offers a fashionable way to keep that mobile headset from getting lost. The chic beaded cord attaches to your shirt and then up to your headset, or you could clip it to your handbag or briefcase whenever it's not in use.

From the website:
Originally designed to respond to the new “hands-free” law in California and several other states, a Cord on Blue™ gives users a beautiful alternative to fishing for their wireless mobile headset* in a purse, briefcase or car.
You'll be dazzled by all the beautiful colors, styles and sizes we offer. Choose a short leash for a quick clip to your shirt or sweater, or go for a longer neckleash that turns into a necklace once your wireless headset is removed. Each a Cord on Blue™ is quality handcrafted in the USA, making it a special piece of functional jewelry too pretty not to be noticed. Our designers have chosen the very latest trends, from gunmetal chains to stunning shaped-glass beads for that modern fashion statement. Sparkling crystal and elegant floral beads lend a more classic, feminine look. Choose from the entire collection of over 40 designs and get ready for the compliments! It’s the perfect accessory, and a very thoughtful gift.

When I was asked to review A Cord on Blue for Mom Fuse, I was able to choose any of the Leashes or Neckleashes. That was not easy, and I will tell you, the only problem you will have with this product is choosing which design to purchase! I settled on The World on a String Neckleash. I loved the metal beads and black fire polish on this particular piece and thought it would work perfectly for the style of clothing I typically wear.

When the package arrived, I was surprised to find that I was sent a Leash and Neckleash to try. What fun! I ended up loving both, and I switch between the two quite often.

I recommend A Cord on Blue to anyone looking for a fun, fashionable and affordable way to keep from having to search for their wireless headset.

REVIEW: Lisa Jordan Collection

What do you want to be when you grow up? This is a question that probably all children are asked at one point or another during their childhood. I remember most of my friends wanted to be ballerinas, teachers, baby doctors (aka pediatricians) and movie stars. My goal in life was much different. All I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a mommy.

There was something about caring for a new life that just tugged at me. Perhaps it was that fresh newborn smell. Maybe it was the feeling of holding that tiny bundle in my arms, knowing he or she was mine. Honestly, I didn't know why, but my dream about doing nothing else with my life but being a mommy never completely changed. I just got sidetracked for while.

When I married at the young age of 22 and my new husband revealed to me he wanted to wait for children, I was a little disappointed, but agreed. Five years later, our first child was born-a son. It was the most beautiful moment of my life until that point.

I've been a mommy now for 11 and a half years, and I can truly say that it is the best part of my life. I celebrate the gifts I have been blessed with every day.

Not too long ago, Mom Fuse asked me if I would review a bracelet from Lisa Jordan Designs. One look at her website, and I agreed. Lisa Jordan Designs creates the most exquisite bracelets to celebrate motherhood that I have ever seen! These sweet tokens are available in either a boy or girl cutout figure in 14K yellow, white or rose gold and accented with pink, blue or white enamel and diamonds as well.

The Lisa Jordan Collection charms come on interchangeable colored cords, but can be worn in many unique ways. A clasp may be purchased for adding to any chain or charm bracelet.

From the website:
Inspired by a gold necklace worn by her grandmother with charms representing the affection she had for her four grandchildren, Lisa developed Lisa Jordan, a company that represents family, her greatest passion.

The Lisa Jordan collection boasts fresh, original designs, while maintaining the highest standards of excellence and craftsmanship. Lisa is intimately involved in the creation of every piece, starting with selection of the stones and materials to overseeing the manufacturing process. Pieces are unique and vary in design. Whether they are made with solid 14k gold, enamel or over a half carat of diamonds, the Lisa Jordan charms combine fashion with premium quality.

The Lisa Jordan Designs Ethan bracelet that I was sent to review is the most beautiful piece of jewelry I own. It is 14k white gold with blue enamel and a single diamond. I have chosen to keep it on the simple black cord, as the charm doesn't need to be placed on a chain; it is simply stunning as is. I wear my bracelet proudly in celebration of the best part of my life- being a mommy.

A Lisa Jordan Designs bracelet is the perfect gift for any mom. A husband wishing to give his wife a token of affection and appreciation for the birth of their child (aka a "push present"), could score big points if he bought his wife a Lisa Jordan Designs bracelet! Whether you are a new mom or not, celebrate your children by wearing a gorgeous bracelet from Lisa Jordan Designs.

Shopping information:
Purchase your Lisa Jordan Designs bracelet online at Namely Newborns or any of the retail locations here.

Thank you Mom Fuse and Lisa Jordan Designs for giving me the opportunity to review Lisa Jordan Designs beautiful bracelets.

Alana Lilie Designs Review and Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for entering!*

I have a fondness for unique jewelry. So, when I found Alana Lilie Designs on the internet, I was thrilled. The custom photo sterling jewelry immediately caught my eye, and as I explored the site further, I found several pieces that I added to my wish list.

The artist behind Alana Lilie Designs is Alana Lilie of Austin, Texas. Read on to learn more about her:
After the birth of my daughter Anna, I had to return to teaching. I wanted to carry a piece of Anna with me, so I made a photo charm so that I could wear her picture around my neck. Every time I wore the charm, I would get so many compliments and lots of "where did you get this?" reactions. When I told the person I had made it, they would request that I make one for them too! With that...Voila!... Alana Lilie Designs was born!

I almost always have some creative project going on, whether it be sewing, knitting, photography, you name it, I have probably done it! This one just happens to be so much fun! The wonderful part is that there are always new necklace and bracelet designs to create and the possibilities are limited by my imagination alone!

My goal with Alana Lilie Designs is to do something I enjoy and then pass it along to other mothers to enjoy, as well as other family members. My favorite description of what I do is "I create jewelry designed to preserve the special moments in life that will linger in our hearts forever..."

I also enjoy shopping and want to offer other unique gifts here at Alana Lilie Designs to make it a "one stop shop" for all of your gift needs. I strive to provide quality products at fair, reasonable prices.

I contacted Alana and inquired about a blog giveaway, and she readily accepted. Additionally, she sent me a stunning Square Photo Pendant to review. The quality of Alana Lilie Designs' work is exceptional. The pendant of my sons far exceeded my expectations. I also loved the little touch of the Swarovski crystal beads and Mother of Pearl attached to the bottom. Now that I have seen the care and detail that Alana puts into her designs, I am wanting to order one of the Sterling Photo Rings as well.

Take a look at the beautiful sterling custom photo jewelry offered by Alana Lilie Designs. I am certain you will find something to add to your wish list.

Do you love jewelry? How about unique, personalized, hand-crafted jewelry? If owning something made by someone who truly wants the piece you purchase to be special, then you need to check out the beautiful pieces made by Sima Gilady of Sima's Fine Art Jewelry.

Sima recently created an exquisite necklace for me which has the names of my family stamped in a delicate silver circle. It is such a pretty piece of jewelry, and I receive compliments whenever I wear it. What I love most about it is that it is personalized with the names of those who are most dear to me. I was impressed with the packaging, as Sima placed my necklace in a little round tin that was filled with lavendar potpourri, a perfect touch to an already beautiful necklace!

Some of Sima's pieces include this My Kid's-One-Of-A-kind Necklace Personalized Tags - Handstamped Sterling Silver Necklace:

Button, Button- Who's Got the Button? Jewelry GIVEAWAY

*This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for entering.*

When I was a little girl, my grandma used to play the button game with my siblings, cousins and me. She would make a big production out of choosing a button from her old tin, and then she'd put the button in one hand, put her hands behind her back, and while we sat on the steps, she'd say, "Button Button, who's got the button?"
We'd each guess a hand, and if we were correct, we could move up a step. This was a great game, and a memory about my grandma that I love.

I have adored anything with buttons ever since. In fact, I now have my grandma's button tin, along with several large glass jars of my own which I filled with the buttons I've collected over the years. So, needless to say, anything with buttons cathes my eye.

Knowing that, you can only imagine how excited I was when I stumbled across the fantastic Etsy shop, Mrs. Gibson's Atelier. We are talking about some SERIOUS button goodness! The artist and store owner, Sam Gibson, creates the most delightful button jewelry I have ever seen! This bracelet happens to be my favorite:

Isn't it beautiful? The vintage and new white and cream-colored buttons are perfect for winter!

Button jewelry isn't the only thing sold by Mrs. Gibson's Atelier. When you visit the Etsy shop, you will find other pretty items, such as London Glass Locket Relic Pendants, silver jewelry, handbags and more! This stunning handbag is another favorite of mine:

That is the Duck Egg Blue Velvet and Silk Handcrafted Metal Frame Handbag. Simply gorgeous!

CONGRATULATIONS #12, Nissa. You are the winner of this giveaway according to Random.org!

I am thrilled to be able to introduce you to an amazing Etsy store, GBaneyx Design. The owner of the shop, Gretchen, creates unique and beautiful earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

When I first saw all of the exquisite pieces available from GBaneyx Design, I was mesmerized by the sterling silver, gorgeous gemstones, and intricate designs. Upon closer inspection, I realized that her prices were affordable, something that is a major plus for me! My only problem was that I had a difficult time choosing only ONE piece of jewelry. I finally settled on the Blue Moon Necklace.

Once it arrived, I was stunned by how much more beautiful the necklace was in person! Truly, it exceeded my expectations. The small drop of light aqua chalcedony is a perfect addition to the hammered silver circle. I also love that the 1” extender is finished with an iridescent drop of rainbow moonstone, such a pretty little detail. I immediately tried it on and was impressed that the chain felt smooth on my neck and didn’t get stuck in my hair, like a lot of chains do. The quality and craftsmanship of my necklace is more than impressive.

A piece of jewelry from GBaneyx Design would make the perfect gift- for a friend, sister, mother, wife, girlfriend, or yourself. With all of the beautiful choices Gretchen offers, you are sure to find something you have to have!
