STEAZ Organic Iced Teaz Review

There's nothing quite like a refreshing iced tea to satisfy one's thirst. My oldest son is a big fan of flavored iced teas, so when Mom Fuse asked me if I was interested in reviewing Steaz Organic Iced Teaz, I knew my boy would be up for the challenge.

Steaz Organic Iced Teaz are USDA Certified Organic and Fair Trade Certified, and are available in 16 oz. fully recyclable aluminum cans. The teas are lightly sweetened with 10g of pure cane sugar and are brewed without preservatives or additives. Flavors include four Green Tea varieties (Peach, Blueberry/ Pomegranate/Acai, Mint, and Unsweetened with Lemon), Black Tea with Lemon and White Tea with Lime and Pomegranate.

We were sent the mint and the peach flavors of Steaz Organic Iced Teaz to sample. Jake especially enjoyed the peach tea, and described it as having a nice sweet taste without having the peach flavor overpower the tea. He also said he could taste a hint of lemon. This is a tea he would drink again. The mint tea was harder for him to describe. He said he could hardly taste the mint, and so I tried the tea as well. I must agree that while this is a great tasting tea, if you want a stronger mint taste, you won't find it in this tea. Even so, it is a pleasant flavor. Since Steaz Organic Iced Teaz met with our resident iced tea-drinker's approval, we will certainly be stocking them in our refrigerator.

Steaz beverages are sold nationally in the U.S. in natural, specialty, gourmet and club stores, as well as food service companies. Steaz beverages are sold in retail outlets such as Whole Foods, Safeway, Publix, Wegmans, and Shaw's supermarkets. Steaz is also sold internationally in Canada, Australia, Mexico, India, Singapore, South Africa, the Netherlands, and the Middle East.

Dilmah Tea Review

When I was a little girl, my gram used to brew us tea from some of the most aromatic leaves, and then we'd sit together at her tiny round kitchen table- sipping our tea from dainty porcelain cups. Conversation over tea was important to my gram. She always felt that the tea relaxed us, and allowed us to open up with one another. She was right.

It was while we sipped tea that I told my gram my biggest secretes, fears and dreams. I told her things I told nobody else. She and that tea had ways of helping me through some very difficult times in my life.

I have continued to believe in my adulthood that tea has a powerful ability to soothe my spirit.

Recently, Mom Fuse asked me to review Dilmah teas, and for all the reasons above, I knew that I was going to love this assignment.

About Dilmah Tea-
Dilmah is unique brand of tea. It has been founded on a passionate commitment to quality and authenticity in tea by Merrill J. Fernando and his two sons.

The Fernando family built their business around their love for tea; today Dilmah is the only vertically integrated tea company with its own tea gardens – some of Ceylon’s best estates - and state of the art printing & packaging facilities, tea packing and investments in every segment of the industry. As Merrill often says, “my family cares for your tea, from the tea nursery right to your teacup.”

In Ceylon, a country famous for its tea, there is a tea famous for its taste. Dilmah.

I was sent Ceylon Cinnamon Spice tea from Dilma's t-series to review.
A combination of Ceylon's finest produce - fine Ceylon Tea, grown at 4,000 feet elevation in the Dimbula Region in the spicy embrace of Ceylon Cinnamon. The dry leaf is shotty in appearance. In the cup, a golden brown infusion, with brightness, medium body and a sweet piquancy. The slightly woody note of Cinnamon with its pervasive fragrance is enlivening and complements the tea perfectly, adding a touch of sharpness. tasting notes - Tight granular brown-black with orange flecks in the leaf. Of mahogany colour (chestnut with red tones) in the liquor colour, this tea smells and tastes of freshly ground cinnamon and hazelnuts. The sweet cinnamon flavour is strong but soon gives way to black tea flavours with nuances of nutmeg and spice. An enticing and glamorous tea that will enkindle your palate.

I was pleased with the flavor- slightly sweet with a great cinnamon taste. I haven't tried the tea iced, but I am going to have to. It is simply divine hot, and I can only imagine that it would be just as delicious cold. Gram would have loved it!

Thanks Mom Fuse for this review opportunity.

Hazel Mail Review

One of my favorite hobbies is photography. I am known as the family shutterbug, as I am never at a family function without my camera. Aside from the enjoyment I get when actually taking the pictures, I also love finding new ways to share the photographs with my family and friends.

Thanks to Mom Fuse, I have been introduced to a great way for me share photos. Hazel Mail turns your photographs into personalized postcards and then prints and mails them for you. Hazel Mail asked me to create two postcards. I was thrilled to accept.

I found the Hazel Mail website easy to navigate. I was able to upload my photographs (must be .jpg or .png and under 2MB), quickly, and once I did, I had fun playing around with different background color options. (There are also a couple of frames for you to choose from as well.) Next, I typed out a message to include on the postcard. There are eight font options and ample space provided for the message. I typed the recipient's address in, and was then able to check out.

Throughout the process of creating my postcards, I was impressed with how simple it was to create my personalized postcard. Once the postcard arrived in the mail, I was even happier with the product. The image quality was sharp, and the weight of the paper was heavy. Considering it only costs $1.50 total to create and mail personalized postcards, I know I will be a repeat customer of Hazel Mail.

Looking for a unique way to share your photos? Try Hazel Mail!

Thanks Mom Fuse for this review opportunity.

Remi-D Review

I can't stand flu season! All those pesky germs lurking everywhere- just waiting for an unsuspecting human to come in contact with, and them WHAM! - you end up sick.

Actually, as a middle school teacher and a mom, I am extra-conscious of those germs. I have Clorox wipes in my classroom and throughout my home. Even so, I like to have a little extra precautionary something to carry with me for those times when the kids' hands (or mine) need a quick sanitizing.

Thanks to Mom Fuse, I was able to test out Remi-D- a great all-natural hand sanitizing mist.

About Remi-D:
Product Features:- Remi-D is *all natural*. It uses strong and effective ingredients from nature, avoiding synthetic lab chemicals. It's free of both Triclosan and Paraben, chemicals found in many household products which have raised health concerns.

- Remi-D is *alcohol-free*. Alcohol can age, dry out and irritate hands. The Remi-D team built in natural moisturizers to make your hands look and feel healthier. Additionally, alcohol content can catch fire when exposed to flame. Kids may become sick by ingesting it. Remi-D is *kid-safe*.

- Remi-D is easy to use, but tough on the stuff that makes people sick. It *kills 99.99% of germs* and is effective against MRSA and Staph. Experts say even a small investment in preventive health could save you --and the country -- considerable money.

- Remi-D's *scent is subtle*. Cucumber Tea Tree gives you a boost without giving you an overdose.

- Remi-D is a non-intrusive mist. Just spray, rub and you're done. No goop, no mess, no stickiness.

What I really like about Remi-D is that is all-natural. This is just one more way to ensure that the products my family uses are safe for all of us. I also like the fact that Remi-D doesn’t leave my hands feeling tacky or slimy. The scent is light and hardly noticeable- something my boys appreciate. Since I carry Remi-D in my purse, I appreciate the fact that the flip-top cap is sturdy, preventing Remi-D from spilling. I highly recommend Remi-D. In fact, I plan to get myself to CVS and stock up on Remi-D for my family.

Remi-D is available nationwide at CVS.com and at these retail outlets throughout the northeast: A&P, Shaw's, Waldbaum's, Superfresh, Pathmark, Shop Rite, Hannaford, Market Basket, Big Y, P&C, Piggly Wiggly, Sweetbay, Donelan's, Grand Union, Thrifty White Pharmacies and Kinney Drug.

When I was asked to review A Cord on Blue for Mom Fuse, I was able to choose any of the Leashes or Neckleashes. That was not easy, and I will tell you, the only problem you will have with this product is choosing which design to purchase! I settled on The World on a String Neckleash. I loved the metal beads and black fire polish on this particular piece and thought it would work perfectly for the style of clothing I typically wear.

When the package arrived, I was surprised to find that I was sent a Leash and Neckleash to try. What fun! I ended up loving both, and I switch between the two quite often.

Rosetta Stone Review

Have you always wanted to learn a new language? Did you study a language in high school or college- eons ago- and wish you could brush up on what you already know? Are you hoping to expand your marketability by learning to speak and read a language that prospective employers will find invaluable? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you need to try Rosetta Stone.

Rosetta Stone is a leader in the language learning software market. They advertise their product in magazines, on the internet, and on television as well. This software provides its users the fastest way to learn a language available on the market.

Thanks to Mom Fuse, I had the opportunity to review the Spanish- Latin America version- of Rosetta Stone. Once I agreed to the review, I informed my 11 year-old son that he would be reviewing the software with me.

We were not sent a CD set to review; rather, Rosetta Stone sent us one headset (a necessary component to this program) and a log-in key that provided us with a trial version of the software directly online.

Once we logged in, I saw that we were given the choice to review all of the languages that Rosetta Stone offers. As tempting as it was to try more than one, we made the decision to stick with Spanish and see how far into the program we could get.

(I have to admit, my son picked up on the program much faster than I did.)

From the Rosetta Stone Website:
Spanish Level 1, 2 and 3:
Begin by building a foundation of essential language skills in Spanish. Gain confidence and learn to share your ideas, opinions and feelings when you immerse yourself in Spanish with Rosetta Stone

This set will help you:

  • Build your vocabulary and language abilities.
  • Spell and write accurately.
  • Speak without a script.
  • Retain what you’ve learned.
  • Read and understand your new language.
  • Share ideas and opinions, express feelings and talk about everyday life.
  • Sample topics include:
  • The basics, such as age and family relations
  • Questions, greetings, introductions
  • Times of day, calendar terms, the weather
  • Directions, locations, telling time
  • Present, past and future tense
  • Apologies and polite requests
  • How to order at a restaurant and give and receive directions
  • Emotions, opinions and ideas
  • Political, media, business and religious terms
My Review:
This is an amazing program. My son and I found ourselves completely immersed in the learning of Spanish. I had my son go through everything with me, and though it took longer for us to complete the program (my fault, as I was the slower learner), we managed to do so, and enjoyed the process.

During the first part of the program we were presented with a series of images and a word is spoken with the accompanying text appearing on screen. We had to match the images with the words. When we had it right, we advanced, and when we didn’t, we continued to try until we did. We found that we moved very quickly through the first part of the program.

As we advanced through the program, the simple words became phrases and then sentences. We learned that there was a pattern to the program, and once we recognized the pattern, the learning became simpler for us.

It was exciting for both us in the early stages of the program when we pronounced the words and phrases correctly, but the best part of it was knowing that we were beginning to actually comprehend what we were reading. Through that comprehension, we were able to advance through the program successfully.

What this program does not provide is a set vocabulary list. You will not find the parts of speech broken down in such as way as you would expect if you were learning Spanish from a textbook. That is not the concept behind the Rosetta Stone learning software. The basis of this software is to learn by hearing, seeing and speaking in context.

I highly recommend Rosetta Stone. This program will enable you to learn a language in the comfort of your home, at your own pace, and in an enjoyable manner. You will learn the language. Guaranteed.

E-Cloth Review and Giveaway

My husband and I remodeled our very outdated kitchen about a year ago. Updating to stainless appliances was at the top of our list. We loved the way they looked- classy, and figured if we were going to splurge on the kitchen, we might as well do it right.

So, when all was said and done, we were the proud owners of a brand new stainless fridge, stainless microwave, stainless stove, and stainless dishwasher. We absolutely loved the new appliances....for the first day only.

After that brief one-day honeymoon period with our new stainless appliances, we realized what a BIG mistake we made!

We have kids, for crying out loud! Kids who love to touch EVERYTHING. Oh sheesh! Can you see where I am going with this?

Oh yes, our classy new stainless appliances were covered in little boy fingerprints (and splatters from liquids and food), and I could not for the life of me figure out how to remove them! I tried everything I could think of, but those fingerprints and water marks were there to stay. (I was able to remove the grease and food splatters, but the stainless just smeared then.) I quickly grew to dislike my new appliances.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago when Nicole from Mom Fuse asked me if I would be interested in reviewing a cleaning product by E-cloth. I did a bit of research and discovered that they made a special eco-friendly kitchen pack that would work on my stainless appliances! Woo-Hoo! I was so excited to give them a try!

Product info. - E-cloth, a chemical free cleaning method that uses water to clean at a deep microbial level.Using tiny specialized fibers, E-cloth can be used to clean everything from mirrors and windows to wood, automobiles and stainless steel appliances. Since E-cloth can be washed in the laundry and is guaranteed for 300 washes, it can reduce the average family's paper towel usage by 40 rolls a year (saving $40-$80 a year plus chemical cleaner savings).

Kitchen Pack - includes E-cloth’s Glass & Polishing Cloth which is engineered and knitted thin to handle hard to remove light grease and dirt with no scratching. It is ideal for getting clean, streak-free windows and mirrors, and eliminating smearing and fingerprints from stateless steel and chrome. The Kitchen Pack also comes with the General Purpose Cloth which has a thick woven weave for removal of thick grease and dirt capturing bacteria. This has exceptional performance on stainless steel, granite, laminated countertops, glass, chrome and wood.

My E-cloth Kitchen Pack arrived, and after reading the instructions, I gave it a try. Oh. My. Goodness! It works!!! Those fingerprints and water marks are GONE! This is a miracle cloth, if you ask me. :)

I dampened the cloth, wrung out the excess water, and wiped down the appliances. That's it. It is honestly that simple. I did have to repeat the process a couple of times, some the stainless steel was really covered in fingerprints, but after a couple of wipe-downs, my appliances look new again. It is amazing!

The cloths are soft, and leave no residue. Better yet, they do not scratch the stainless steel either.

I am sold. I need to buy the bathroom pack next!

Read on for more information about the amazing E-cloth:

TADgreen Inc., brings an eco-friendly European cleaning method, E-cloth®, to the United States. E-cloth® is proven to clean more effectively and offers greater environmental benefits than other cleaning solutions.

Ztampf! Digiscraptistry Review and Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for entering!*

I have been scrapbooking for quite awhile. I started out as a paper scrapbooker and did that for years. I was on numerous design teams- both stores and manufacturers. I had many layouts published in magazines such as Memory Makers, Creating Keepsakes, Legacy and more. I went on to work as a freelance artist and writer for Memory Makers magazine, and life was good. I was happy.

Even so, I had this nagging urge to try my hand at digital scrapbooking. I figured if I could learn it, and if I really liked it, it would save me a great deal of money and would be less of a mess than traditional paper scrapbooking. (I was right about it not creating a huge mess in my scrapbook room; however, I think I spend just as much as I did before!)

My first few attempts were pitiful, to say the least. I quickly figured out that I had a lot to learn. I was up for the challenge, and in no time, I was hooked. I was asked to join the creative team for two great digital sites and have had several of my digital layouts picked up for publication as well.

Unfortunately, life got nutty busy for me, and I took a long hiatus from scrapbooking. Even so, I was missing it. I love to create, and scrapbooking was an incredible outlet for me. Having Mom Fuse ask me to review Ztampf! Digiscraptistry was just what I needed to get back in my groove!

The artist behind Ztampf! Digiscraptistry is Lie Fhung. She is a Chinese-Indonesian contemporary artist and designer. Lie studied ceramic art and graduated with a BFA from ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology), Indonesia.

More about Lie Fhung from her website:
I have always loved crafts, design and art in their many forms. I have worked as a toy designer in the past and since 2003 I have been working as a freelance designer doing mostly website work and occasional graphic design projects. I work from my home-studio in Hong Kong where I currently live with my loving, philosopher husband.

I love creating layouts almost as much as creating the kits and elements themselves. Creating things - be it art, craft or design, is the thing I enjoy most. Reading, watching movies, traveling and listening to music (and singing along with it!) are some of other things that I also love to do.

To learn more about the coming about of Ztampf!, just click here!

Mom Fuse and Lie Fhung asked me to review Ztampf! Digiscraptistry's Crafty Calendar Kit. I was also able to choose something else from Ztampf! Digiscraptistry to work with, and after spending a very long time trying to decide (this was incredibly difficult because everything in the store is beautiful, and I wanted it all!), I chose the Birthday Bliss Kit.

I have been creating with these products for a few days now. I am in love. :) The Crafty Calendar Kit is so easy to use! Even a beginner at digital scrapbooking with a basic knowledge of how to use their photo editing program can create an exquisite calendar with this kit! Ztampf! Digiscraptistry took all of the time consuming legwork out of the process by providing the artist with pre-made calendar pages. Using these, one only has to add a photo, a tiny ensemble (a ready-made embellished frame), and any of the provided extras (date markers, tabs and charms) to complete the page.

If you are feeling more adventurous, then you can create the calendar from scratch, using the provided templates, papers, and extras.

Once you are finished with your calendar, you print your pages and then have everything bound together at a place like Staples. The end result makes a beautiful gift (think Valentine's Day!) I didn't have time to print mine yet, so instead of waiting until I did that and then post the review, I chose to include a sampling of some of my pages so you can see how terrific this calendar is. Again, Valentine's Day is right around the corner!

If you are looking for something in addition to the calendar (or instead of), then I highly recommend any of Ztampf! Digiscraptistry's other products. The Birthday Bliss Kit I worked with is great for more than just birthday pages. It is chock full of goodies that can be used with other projects. The quality of the papers and extras is fantastic.
I created this page of my little guy to give you an idea of some of the items in the kit. (Note: the lace and border stitching are not included in this kit.) I will most definitely be back to Ztampf! Digiscraptistry for more digital scrappy goodness!

Ztampf! Digiscraptistry is offering one living life one day at a time reader the chance to win a great, not-yet-released kit created by Lie Fhung. The name of the kit is Season of Love. Included in the zip file which will be sent to the winner is this great bunch of goodies:
1. A 25% OFF Discount Coupon for One Use
2. 3 Background Papers (12"x12")
3. 1 Flower
4. 1 Photo Edge
5. 1 Fastener
6. 1 Tag
7. 2 Ensembles (pre-arranged, decorated frames)
8. 1 QuickPage
9. A folder containing Product Previews

Coco-Zen Truffles Review and Giveaway

Looking to give a sweet treat to someone special for Valentine's Day? Perhaps you are hoping to receive something deliciously wonderful from your other half this year. If so, you need to look no further than Coco-Zen for the most amazing organic, Fair-Trade chocolate truffles ever.

Coco-Zen is a mom-owned business. Not only do they sell yummy, organic chocolate truffles in many mouth-watering flavors, they also offer decadent chocolate body treats. That's right, you can pamper your lips and your skin with the tantalizing scent of chocolate. (Oh. My. Heck. The chocoholic I am NEEDS to try the body products by Coco-Zen!)

A little background about Coco-Zen:
Coco-Zen came about when new mom and chocoholic, Joyce Kushner, decided to take a break from the frenetic pace of retail marketing to stay at home to care for her newborn son. During maternity leave, Joyce spent her 45-minute "breaks" while her son napped making chocolate desserts. It turned out that experimenting with chocolates (and tasting them!) helped Joyce maintain her post-partum "tranquility."

Chocolate truffles being her favorite, Joyce soon developed several "harmonious" flavor combinations and gave them away to family and friends (while extolling the wonders of a little daily chocolate indulgence). As it turned out, the truffles were a hit. So deciding to take a chance, she said goodbye to corporate America and went into business for herself.

Thus, Coco-Zen was born - spreading the joy of chocolate "enlightenment" one truffle at a time.

Thanks to Mom Fuse and Coco-Zen, I had the absolute pleasure of sampling some of the truffles. I was sent dark chocolate and chocolate mint truffles in a beautiful two-tier To-Give tin, as well as the Signature Sampler To-Go tin.

When the truffles arrived, I selfishly wanted to hide them away and keep them for myself. Instead, I took them to Emma's birthday party and shared them with the whole family. They were a hit!

The size of the truffles is generous, and though you could eat one and probably be satisfied, they are far too addicting to stop at one!

The favorite truffles among the group was the Chocolate Mint Bliss. The mint flavor was perfect- not at all overpowering. I most wanted to try the Chai Spice, but there was only one of them, and my sister got to it before I could. She told me that it was the best chocolate she had ever tasted. She described the flavor as the perfect blend of her two favorite things- chocolate and chai tea lattes.

I will definitely be purchasing more truffles to give as gifts (and for myself, too) from Coco-Zen. I'm thinking with Valentine's Day and our wedding anniversary just around the corner, I need to let my hubby know about Coco-Zen- the perfect place to shop for chocolate treats to pamper my body and satisfy my sweet tooth. :)

Coco-Zen would like to offer all living life one day at a time and Mom Fuse readers a chance to experience all the chocolate goodness that Coco-Zen has to offer at a 10% discount. Just enter the code MOMFUSE10 at checkout. (Offer good until February 14, 2009)

One of my readers has the chance to win a $25 e-card from Coco-Zen as well.

HOW TO WIN:
• Visit Coco-Zen, and then come back here and tell me which flavor truffle you'd love most or which body product you'd really like to try.
• If you are not a blogger, email 3 of your friends telling them about this giveaway, and cc me at colleenstearns@gmail.com.

REVIEW: Social Climbers- a novel by Beth Dunn

Welcome to the world of Social Climbers...

Where the society season kicks off at the opening night of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Main Line ladies compete to get their names on committees, invitations and their picture in the newspaper.SC Elizabeth Quinn is a young lady determined to make it to the Philadelphia A-list. Each invitation (or snub) is a benchmark of her struggle. While Elizabeth is a SC, she lacks the ferocity of the ladies she will encounter. She’ll see schoolyard cruelty, just polished up for the grown-up world and now finely honed into small humiliations.
Friends from The Agnes Irwin School and Lake Forest College, Kitty and Elizabeth, are “mean girls” grown-up. They use their clique of friends and polished possessions to pick away at each other’s Social Standing. Sadly, their anger stemming from a boy they both liked in High School and neither married keeps them from seeing what is truly important in life.
Follow Elizabeth to afternoon tea and photo-op’s. See if she chooses the right children’s names and the proper label to wear and display. Find out how she learns the difference between Jimmy Choo and Kate Spade, the language of nicknames, when it’s alright to brag about a bargain or wear costume jewelry, what to monogram (not toilet paper), who to idolize (Babe Paley) and what constitutes taste in music, nail polish. Read about husbands who are an asset and the husbands who are a handicap. In the SC world, marriage and motherhood and a comfortable income are indispensable as a proper pedigree. For Elizabeth, the honeymoon was simply breathing space before the real work began.

Elizabeth strives to be a socialite but also something bigger. But what?

I reviewed the novel Social Climbers by Beth Dunn for Mom Fuse. I was hooked from the first page! The book begins with a glossary of terms used throughout the book (I did have to refer back to this often) and kept me entertained straight through to the last page. If you are looking for information or a guide on how to successfully climb the social ladder, this is a great book for you! You'll learn what to wear, what to drink, and more. Beth's tips can help you whether you are interested in getting involved with charity work or are in need of learning proper socialite etiquette. You'll learn a few things and get a few laughs as well.

REVIEW: iHome iHM77RC Portable Multimedia Speakers

My family loves music. We all have different tastes, and since we can rarely agree on what to listen to, everyone has an mp3 player. That way, nobody has to argue about music selection; four different people with four different tastes in music used to mean volume wars before we got the iPods.

Even so, I like to have music playing when I scrapbook. Since the scrapbook room is in the basement, I can play my music as loud as I want! The problem is that the songs I really want to listen to are on my iPod, and having the cord from ear buds dangling while I am trying to concentrate on my designs is annoying. So, I have to choose to put up with the cord or forgo the music.

I also like to be able to use my laptop in my classroom to share audio and video clips with my students. However, the speakers on my current laptop are not powerful enough for my students to hear well.

So, needless to say, when asked by Mom Fuse if I was interested in reviewing a set of portable speakers from iHome Audio, I jumped at the chance.

Now, I have to admit, when the package arrived in the mail, I had serious doubts that the iHM77RC Multimedia Portable Speakers would be the solution I was looking for. They are quite small, and I assumed that they sound quality would not impress me.

I first tested the iHM77RC Portable Multimedia Speakers at home with my iPod and immediately knew that my initial impression was wrong. These bitty speakers pack a big punch! The quality of sound is crisp and clear, even when the volume is turned all the way up.

Next, I took the speakers to school and tried them out with my laptop. Again, they delivered a full, clear sound. All of my students, regardless of where they were sitting in the classroom, were able to hear the audio clips.

Aside from the impressive sound from the iHM77RC Portable Multimedia Speakers, I love their tiny size. They take up such little room, so they are perfect for small spaces. The included carrying pouch is great for keeping them protected when taking them to and from work. I have to admit, I also adore the red color. No boring black for me!

From the website:
Sound Beyond Size! The iHM77 is the perfect stereo speaker system for your iPod, iPhone, Macbook or any Laptop and MP3 player. The iHM77 speakers attach magnetically in a capsule shape for ultimate portability, then separate and extend for surprisingly big stereo sound that must be heard to be believed. Features two amplified speakers with built-in rechargeable batteries, vacuum bass expansion, USB charging, and comes with a protective carrying case.

Check out iHome Audio to buy these amazing speakers for only $49.99. Be sure to take a look at all the other great products they have available as well.

REVIEW: [me] & goji Custom Artisanal Cereal

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I'm not talking about the time of day when the meal is eaten; I mean the food that is typically served for breakfast. I could eat breakfast foods-especially cereal- for every meal.

I don't know what it is about cereal that I love so much. Perhaps its the memory of digging to the bottom of the box to get the prize before my brother or sisters did. (I don't do that anymore. :) ) Maybe I just like the convenience of merely pouring it into the bowl, adding the milk (just a little bit!), and it's ready to eat. Who knows.

What I am certain of is that I spend far too much time in the cereal aisle of the grocery store. I find myself reading labels way more than I ever have before. I want to be sure that I am giving my family healthy, yet tasty, cereal.

When Mom Fuse asked if I wanted to review Custom Artisanal Cereal from [me] & goji, I was excited. I figured it would be a lot of fun creating my own cereal mix. I wasn't prepared for all of the choices I would have to make, however.

I am not complaining. Creating the cereal took time, but I enjoyed the process. There are seriously over 40 healthy ingredients to choose from.

First, I chose the base for my cereal. I went with artisanal cereal- traditional, crunchy cereal flakes that Americans love combined with the nutritional righteousness of raw rolled flakes found in muesli . Next, I added some wheat germ, organic, gluten-free corn flakes, choco peanuts (had to add a bit of sweetness), golden granola, cacao nibs (these are amazing!), sunflower seeds and almonds. Finally, I named my cereal and submitted the order. I could not wait for it to arrive!

Once my family and I tasted the cereal, we had a bit of a disagreement on how it would be shared. I really wanted to be selfish and keep it for myself, but knowing how healthy it was for my family, and the fact that my kids would eat it, I caved. With all of us eating it, the capsule of cereal only lasted a few days, and now we want to try another.

A little about [me] & goji-

the first custom cereal and granola company. This premium product was not only created for cereal lovers, but also for people with specific tastes and nutritional needs and goals which I believe suits men, woman, and young, picky eaters quite well!

Simply visit our website, www.meandgoji.com, and choose from over 40 all-natural and organic ingredients that include the healthiest superfoods on earth. After creating and naming your cereal, we ship it directly to your door in our sleek Cereal Capsule designed for portability and keeping your mixture fresh! We also offer free, personalized notes.

Furthermore, we are a mission driven company that believe in using our resources in ways that benefit society and the environment. Currently, we offer "green tags" to offset all the CO2 emissions from the manufacturing and shipping of your cereal, and "pink tags" that go to Pinkdoor Nonprofit which supports breast cancer survivors in "starting fresh."

Visit [me] & goji and have fun creating a custom cereal for your family.

REVIEW: Simply Sarah Handy Hold All (Discount Code for Readers)

As I admitted in an earlier post, I am a handbag fanatic. My belief is that a girl can never own too many. I mean, seriously. I need different bags depending upon the occasion. You won't see me carrying my coveted Coach handbag to work (that's what all my totes are for!), and my Vera Bradley bags are fantastic for casual weekend outings, and...okay, well, you get the picture.

I have no problem whatsoever acquiring bags. The issue for me is storage of said handbags. I used to keep them in my closet- until I ran out of room. Then, I purchased plastic storage bins and stashed them in those under my bed. I ran out of room there too. Finally, I had them on the floor next to my bed; what a mess!

Storage for my handbag addiction is no longer a problem thanks to the Simply Sarah Handy Hold All which Mom Fuse recently asked me to review.

The Simply Sarah Handy Hold All is at long last a stylish solution to the problem of efficiently storing handbags, baseball caps, and scarves. The patented Handy Hold All is 100% cotton, measures 39"x4" and has 7 hanging loops with silver snaps and a grommet for easy mounting in a closet or on a door. Each loop can hold 2-4 items.

I love that the Handy Hold All is oh so pretty and stylish. My husband feels more practically about it; he's just relieved that he doesn't have to step over handbags anymore to get into bed!

If you or someone you love has an out-of-control storage situation going on with their handbag, baseball cap or scarf addiction, then the Simply Sarah Handy Hold All is a must have product!

Purchase a Handy Hold All for only $30 by visiting the Simply Sarah online store. While there, be sure to take a look at the other beautiful products offered for sale.

Simply Sarah has generously offered living life one day at a time and Mom Fuse readers a fabulous 50% discount to be used on all purchases! Enter the code: momfuse at checkout. Happy shopping!

REVIEW: SKINN Runway Ready Collagen Boost Firming Eyeshadows

Skinn is a cosmetics company founded by Dimitri James, a man who worked for twenty years with the largest cosmetic houses in the world. Displeased with the fact that the companies were not producing quality products, he struck out on his own in 2002 and founded Skinn.

Dimitri's goal is to provide quality products, rather than quality packaging, at an affordable price to his consumers . His frustration with the other companies' cheap products with expensive price tags was the inspiration for his goal.

According to the website:
Skinn offers its products only through televised home shopping, the internet and exclusive, privately owned spas throughout North America. This has allowed us to reach the maximum amount of people, while keeping overhead very low. We don't have expensive retail shops or New York office suites; you won't see costly magazine or prime time TV ads. What we do have are some of the finest cosmetics ever made. You'll see the difference!

Mom Fuse and Skinn asked me to review Skinn's Runway Ready Collagen Boost Firming Eyeshadows.

Thirty-two brilliant shades of remarkable eye colors available in four compacts to the time of day, your mood and skin tone. These Italian baked shadows will bring out the gleam and glamour in any set of eyes. Whether on the runway or running to the market, these hot-off-the-press lustrous colors will keep you looking your brightest, most confident and sexy best.

I was sent the Warm Formal shade to test. I love the rich colors in this palette. I appreciate that the color doesn't fade from my eyelids even after wearing it for more than eight hours.

Aside from being pleased with the excellent quality of the Runway Ready Collagen Boost Firming Eyeshadows, the fact the Skinn does not test their products on animals is another reason for me to want to try more of their products.

If you are looking to spend your money on a quality product that will make your eyes look absolutely stunning, than head on over to Skinn and purchase one or more of the gorgeous shades of Runway Ready Collagen Boost Firming Eyeshadows.

REVIEW: Lisa Jordan Collection

What do you want to be when you grow up? This is a question that probably all children are asked at one point or another during their childhood. I remember most of my friends wanted to be ballerinas, teachers, baby doctors (aka pediatricians) and movie stars. My goal in life was much different. All I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a mommy.

There was something about caring for a new life that just tugged at me. Perhaps it was that fresh newborn smell. Maybe it was the feeling of holding that tiny bundle in my arms, knowing he or she was mine. Honestly, I didn't know why, but my dream about doing nothing else with my life but being a mommy never completely changed. I just got sidetracked for while.

When I married at the young age of 22 and my new husband revealed to me he wanted to wait for children, I was a little disappointed, but agreed. Five years later, our first child was born-a son. It was the most beautiful moment of my life until that point.

I've been a mommy now for 11 and a half years, and I can truly say that it is the best part of my life. I celebrate the gifts I have been blessed with every day.

Not too long ago, Mom Fuse asked me if I would review a bracelet from Lisa Jordan Designs. One look at her website, and I agreed. Lisa Jordan Designs creates the most exquisite bracelets to celebrate motherhood that I have ever seen! These sweet tokens are available in either a boy or girl cutout figure in 14K yellow, white or rose gold and accented with pink, blue or white enamel and diamonds as well.

The Lisa Jordan Collection charms come on interchangeable colored cords, but can be worn in many unique ways. A clasp may be purchased for adding to any chain or charm bracelet.

From the website:
Inspired by a gold necklace worn by her grandmother with charms representing the affection she had for her four grandchildren, Lisa developed Lisa Jordan, a company that represents family, her greatest passion.

The Lisa Jordan collection boasts fresh, original designs, while maintaining the highest standards of excellence and craftsmanship. Lisa is intimately involved in the creation of every piece, starting with selection of the stones and materials to overseeing the manufacturing process. Pieces are unique and vary in design. Whether they are made with solid 14k gold, enamel or over a half carat of diamonds, the Lisa Jordan charms combine fashion with premium quality.

The Lisa Jordan Designs Ethan bracelet that I was sent to review is the most beautiful piece of jewelry I own. It is 14k white gold with blue enamel and a single diamond. I have chosen to keep it on the simple black cord, as the charm doesn't need to be placed on a chain; it is simply stunning as is. I wear my bracelet proudly in celebration of the best part of my life- being a mommy.

A Lisa Jordan Designs bracelet is the perfect gift for any mom. A husband wishing to give his wife a token of affection and appreciation for the birth of their child (aka a "push present"), could score big points if he bought his wife a Lisa Jordan Designs bracelet! Whether you are a new mom or not, celebrate your children by wearing a gorgeous bracelet from Lisa Jordan Designs.

Shopping information:
Purchase your Lisa Jordan Designs bracelet online at Namely Newborns or any of the retail locations here.

Thank you Mom Fuse and Lisa Jordan Designs for giving me the opportunity to review Lisa Jordan Designs beautiful bracelets.

REVIEW: Om Aroma & Co.- Luxe Face Collection

I had a conversation with one of my sisters recently about whether or not it was truly necessary to be using anti-aging skincare products at my age. I guess I was in denial because I didn't think that I needed to worry about yet. Heck, I am only 39 years old! Even so, my sister, the skincare product guru, insisted that it was never too early to start caring for my skin. Prevention, she insisted, is the key to success. So, I gave in, and I have begun to research products that would be healthy to use on my face in my quest to delay the aging process.

Mom Fuse came to my rescue and invited me to review some decadent skin care goodies from Om Aroma & Co., a luxury organic spa and skincare product company. The Luxe FACE Collection takes wonderful ingredients like Caviar, Truffles and Champagne and fuses them with organic ingredients to create a line that is not only naturally great for the skin, but has anti-aging results. Champagne and Caviar and Truffles, oh la la!

The Om Aroma & Co. Luxe FACE Collection is available in both regular and travel sizes and includes Elixir de Beautè (a Champagne Facial Cleanser), Extrait de Caviar (a Caviar Eye Cream), and Crème Luxe (a White Truffle Face Creme).

The Elixir de Beautè is a gently exfoliating cleanser. I like how I only need to use a small dab of the cleanser. It cleans my face without feeling harsh, and once I rinse the product, leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed. The Crème Luxe is my favorite of the three products. My skin has never before felt as soft as it does after using this moisturizer! I appreciate that it doesn't leave a greasy residue on my face, and doesn't interfere with my makeup either! I have found that I can only use the Extrait de Caviar at night before bed as it seems to be too heavy a cream for my skin.

Bottom Line: The Om Aroma & Co. Luxe FACE Collection is luxurious and healthy for my skin. I will absolutely continue to use these products.

Thank you Mom Fuse and Om Aroma & Co. for giving me the opportunity to review the Luxe FACE Collection.

REVIEW: Greased Lightning

My youngest son is a dirt magnet. Seriously. He leaves the house every morning in clean clothing. However, when he returns home from school, he looks like he rolled in mud and markers.

I can't tell you how many stain removers I have tried to work out all those spots of dried paint from art class, grass and mud stains from playing football at recess, mustard and ketchup stains from the hotdog that just couldn't make it to his mouth without first falling on his clothing- well, you get the picture. The point is that none of the stain removers I have tried in the past have ever gotten his clothes completely clean. (Notice I said in the past?)

Thanks to Mom Fuse, I was able to recently try a stain remover that allows me to quit tossing out ruined clothes. Greased Lightning Multipurpose is a miracle for me. Truly. I cannot believe how well it works. It even took out old grass and mud stains! No more frustration with stain removers that don't keep their promise the consumer. Greased Lightning Multipurpose is the only stain remover I will ever use again!

The day after I tried the miracle product on clothing stains, I decided it was time to test Greased Lightning Multipurpose's claim that it will remove carpet stains as well. My oldest son has a white carpet in his bedroom. (Yes, I know. What were we thinking???) Anyway, he managed to somehow trash the carpet here and there by spilling juice and other unknown items onto it. I wondered if Greased Lightning Multipurpose would be able to tackle those stains as well. The result? My son has a white carpet again! No more stains.

Here is some information about Greased Lightning Multipurpose from the manufacturer:

Greased Lightning® Multipurpose
The original Greased Lightning formula is time-tested for superior cleaning and stain-fighting power. Greased Lightning conquers the toughest stains and can be used throughout the home.

Suggested uses:
Cut through grime on stove vents, ovens and microwaves.
Remove red wine, pet stains and dirt from everyday traffic on carpets.
Use as a laundry pretreat for tough stains including grease, grass and ink.
Tackle soap scum and mildew stains in the shower.
Revitalize patio furniture by removing dirt and outdoor debris.

The information I was sent claims that Greased Lightning Multipurpose would also be great to use to clean the grease from the BBQ grill. Now, that is a task I will give to my dear hubby. :)

Greased Lightning Multipurpose is available nationally* at these retailers:
Ace Hardware
Dollar General
Family Dollar
Home Depot
Lowe's
Target
True Value
Wal-Mart

*Not all products are available at every retail outlet.

Thanks Mom Fuse for giving me the opportunity to review Greased Lightning Multipurpose.

REVIEW: Franklin- The New York Times PageMark Dictionary

How many times have you read a book, only to find yourself stuck with a word or words on the pages? How often does your child pause while reading to ask you the meaning of a particular word? Have you or your child ever stopped reading a book because you were frustrated by the words that you didn't understand?

I can't say I have ever completely lost interest in a book because of the vocabulary, but I have needed to stop to look up the meanings of words as I read. It is frustrating at times because I have had to reread sections because I forgot what I read due to the time it took me to find the dictionary (or pull up dictionary.com on the computer), and then locate the definition of the word.

Wouldn't it be nice if you didn't have to go through all of that ever again? Well, have I got just the answer for you!

Franklin came out with this amazing little gadget called The New York Times PageMark Dictionary. When Mom Fuse asked me if I wanted to review this, I researched it a little, and then couldn't wait to try it myself.

Now that I have had The NY Times PageMark Dictionary for about a week, I must tell you that it is fantastic! It is slim as a bookmark, and allows users to look up definitions for words as they're reading. There is a clip on the back of The NY Times PageMark Dictionary that you attach to the pages of your book and a string that you can use to mark the page when you are finished reading for the time being.

What I love about The NY Times PageMark Dictionary, aside from the fact that it allows me to quickly find the meanings of terms I do not know, is that I can also create a list of words that I want to refer back to as I read. As an English teacher, I find that an invaluable tool- especially when I am pre-reading a book I plan to teach my students. With this feature, I can create a vocabulary list for the students.

Here is some more information about The NY Times PageMark Dictionary from the Franklin website:
  • Expand your knowledge with historical facts from a trusted international news source: The New York Times®
  • Displays daily historical events and birthdays from The New York Times’ Learning Network web site – “On This Day” content
  • Contains Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary with 400,000 definitions
  • Bookmark like form factor as companion to your reading materials
  • User Vocabulary List feature allows you to save words you want to remember
  • Word games makes learning words fun
  • 4-line display

Bottom line:
The NY Times PageMark Dictionary is perfect for readers who want an easier, faster way to locate meanings of difficult vocabulary words within text. I also recommend The NY Times PageMark Dictionary for educators to use as a teaching tool. Parents can't go wrong purchasing this for their children to use while reading as well. With the ability to find meanings of words, create a vocabulary list, learn daily historical events and birthdays from The New York Times’ Learning Network web site – “On This Day” content, and play games too, The NY Times PageMark Dictionary is a great gadget at an affordable $59.95.

Purchase yours today from the Franklin website.

Thanks Mom Fuse and Franklin for giving me the opportunity to review The NY Times PageMark Dictionary.

REVIEW: Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Detoxifying Oxygen Facial Commission

As I am nearing my 40th birthday (Do you hear the sigh in my voice as I say that?), I realize that caring for my skin is even more important now than ever before. I have always used a cleanser on my face- both in the morning and at night. Even so, I have been noticing that the cleansers I've used are either leaving my skin feeling dry or not clean enough. I worry that I am damaging my skin even more by using products that aren't healthy for my face. So, when Nicole from Mom Fuse asked me if I would review Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Detoxifying Oxygen Facial Commission, I was intrigued. After reading a bit about it on the Dermelect Cosmeceuticals website, I agreed to give it a try.

Description of Detoxifying Oxygen Facial Commission from the Dermelect Cosmeceuticals website:
Due to the natural aging process as well as environmental factors and bad habits, oxygen levels in our facial skin decline taking with it energy utilized to keep the skin taut and smooth. With just a pump you will release oxygen molecules and purifiers to instantly detoxify and invigorate your tired skin to a rejuvenated “fresh” face. Re-up the oxygen levels to your skin to revamp, revitalize and hydrate worn thin skin. Commissioned to cleanse, re-energize and de-stress your skin, you can choose to use it as a cleanser to clean out your pores, dissolve make-up and other impurities or as deep cleansing, skin-soothing masque to furnish you with a fresher, younger-looking face. Either way, this fabulous, complexion brightening formula can provide your skin with an instant detoxifying, oxygen facial. Recommended for all skin types- also effective for acne.

I have been using Deoxifying Oxygen Facial Commission for a week now, and what I have noticed is that it rejuvenates my face without harsh scrubbing, leaving me feeling luxiouriosly fresh. I have used this product as both a cleanser and as a facial mask, and I love the results from both. When used as a mask, I can feel the foam little bubbles of cleanser tickling my skin as it works its invigorating magic. Only a pea-size pump of the rich foam transforms my face from blah to glowing. No more shiny T-zone for me!

Though just a tad pricey at $48 for 3.3 ounces, I have to say that knowing my skin is healthy and glowing- something it hasn't been in too many years to count- makes Detoxifying Oxygen Facial Commission priceless!

Purchase Detoxifying Oxygen Facial Commission at Dermelect Cosmeceuticals and see for yourself how amazing this product is!

Thank you, Mom Fuse and Dermelect Cosmeceuticals for allowing me to review this product!
